Black-throated Sparrow

Description:

Rare to the San Francisco bay area. Mostly found in dry desert parts of the states.
Gray upper parts with bold white stripe above the eye and mustache. Black line above the white line above the eye and a lower white eyering. Black throat to the chest. Light gray under parts. The bill is also dark gray.

Habitat:

Spotted on rocky hills feeding on fennel seeds and hiding in poison oak
