Crotalus atrox
Western Diamondback Rattlesnake (AKA: Western Diamond-Backed Rattlesnake, Adobe Snake, Arizona Diamond Rattlesnake, Coon Tail, Desert Diamond-Back, Desert Diamond Rattlesnake, Fierce Rattlesnake, Spitting Rattlesnake, Texan Rattlesnake, Texas Diamond-Back, or Texas Rattler) spotted along the boundary between Fort Sill and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Preserve, OK.
This snake has been sitting in this same spot for a little over a week now (It is our conjecture that perhaps the snake is waiting to give birth?). The video is from our first visit, the pictures are from our third visit out to the site, so my so could see the snake also.

Appreciate the nomination, thank you.
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
Having trouble getting the video to save on here, so here is the link to the video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/tIlZsybVYeY. Does anyone out there know why there is an issue getting YouTube videos added like you used to able to?
