Possibly a Trametes sp. (Turkey Tail or False Turkey Tail) or another species depending on whether it had pores on the underside or apparent gills; there are at least two different species with 'gills' - Rusty gilled polypore (Gloeophyllum sepiarium) and Gilled Polypore (Lenzites betulina)
