The dorsal surface (image shown) is a rich ginger brown colour with distinct 'eyes' on the hind wing and waves of darker brown through both fore and hind wings. It also shows a fine white edge to the wings. The ventral surface is more grey with a line of orange eyes.
Found throughout Singapore in several habitats including urban, this one was seen on the edge of rain forest in the MacRitchie Reserve in central Singapore.
Found in Singapore and up into Johore, Malaysia. These Butterflies like full sun and often sunbathe with their wings fully open when at rest.
