Eurasian Jay

Garrulus glandarius

Description:

Roughly the size of feral pigeon, light-brownish bird with azure blue wing spots, and cream-black face and crown pattern. Loud bird, and like all members of crow or corvids family (Corvidae), reputed really intelligent.

Habitat:

The town park - a wooded area; mixed woods in alpine environment.

Notes:

Even though very common bird in wooded areas of Europe, and even spreading to urban areas as well, I struggled to see and click it clearly until today... Saw it many times, but either did not have my camera on me, or caught unusable and blurred pic... Until today - thanks Jays from our city park.
