Description:

Extremely large mosquito. Metallic blue and yellow coloration. Dark legs with light tips. Adults feed on nectar. Larvae of this species are carnivorous and feed on other mosquito larva.

Habitat:

Temperate woodland. Rockwood Park, Virginia.
