Chrysosoma vittatum
Lustrously green long-legged fly on lotus leaf. It was first described by Christian Rudolph Wilhelm Wiedemann (1770-1840) - a German physician, historian and naturalist who turned to entomology later in life - in 1819. The 'vittatum' may be for the brown vertical stripe on its thorax.
Urban garden.
Family: Dolichopodidae
