Scarlet Milkweed

Description:

Red and yellow small flowers w/ green stalks.

Habitat:

Located within a butterfly garden area at a County park.

Notes:

AKA as Mexican, Butterfly, Bloodflower, and Swallow-wort milkweed for a few. Some indicate it should not be planted in the U.S. Because it interferes w/ Monarch butterfly migration; and increases the chance of spreading the OE parasite harmful to Monarchs.
