Giant American millipede

Narceus americanus

Description:

Small millipede, about 1.5 inches long. Found under a log in a fragment of oak-hickory forest with a lot of young pines growing in a disturbed area nearby. This was the only shot I have of it.

This must be nearly a newborn. I'll have to keep an eye out for the grown-ups!
