A butterfly in the subfamily Satyrinae. Adults are shade-loving butterflies that feed on dung, fungi, carrion, and sap from willows, poplars, and birches.

Habitat:

Spotted on lower vegetation in a deciduous forest along Slunger Creek at Lake Catherine State Park.
