Red flowers of a Leguminosae tree. Its interesting that leaves and seeds of E. americana and E. coralloides are poisonous, but flowers are edible...some people eat them fresh in salads or with scrambled egg.

Habitat:

its a common tree in temperate areas and xerophytic shrubland, its common in mexico city.
