Spotting

Description:

I'm not familiar with spiders so I don't know what this is. The spider was moving fast and I almost couldn't get a picture. The second shot doesn't look that great except it provides a clearer picture of the markings on the abdomen which look like burgundy outlined by white. It was 4 -5 cm long including legs.

Habitat:

I spotted this spider in the grassy area behind the beach near Skala Kallonis while I was bird watching.
