Common Bottlenose Dolphin

Tursiops truncatus

Description:

T. truncatus is the largest species of the beaked dolphins

Habitat:

Temperate and tropical oceans throughout the world

Notes:

Observed a large group of dolphins playing in the waters off Sanibel Island along the Florida Gulf Coast. There were several mothers with babies in the group. There appears to be a Remora attached to the underside of this dolphin.
