A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Dysdercus suturellus
Red with white stripes, black wings. Black legs and geniculate or elbowed antennae.
Picture was taken in some light mangroves, subtropic florida.
I can't find any information about this little guy I saw today in the mangroves north of the everglades. Anyone able to give me an idea of what this guy is? Thanks Tom15!

Thanks António, My wife suggested I look at this site. I can see myself getting addicted. I have just purchased a new camera (I didn't have it when I saw this beetle).
