Spotting

Description:

Length: 24mm. Like Two-Spotted Cyana Female there are two prominent black spots on the fore wings, middle two red bands have black borders, however bands are more distinct and no black dots on the thorax in this specimen.

Habitat:

Large river bank. Huge forest. There are some small hamlets nearby among the river bank and forests with farm lands. There is also the second Teesta Low Dam Hydro-electric Power Station (TLDP-III). Hot place. Altitude: below 500m.

Notes:

The combinations, arrangements and relations of red, black and yellow lines, bands and dots in these species are simply mind boggling!
