If you clip your nose, it is just protein ;-)...

Thanks for all the info and Id's Bayucca, I am a little shocked to find out that one can eat stink bugs !

Pentatomoidea, Dinidoridae, Coridius sp., so you are right with the Watermelon Bug. However, there are, 2 possibly candidate, one is Coridius chinensis, which looks identical to yours, the other one would be Coridius nepalensis. Both species were eaten by people. I do not know how Nepalensis look like so I would prefer Coridius cf. chinensis as ID.
