About 12mm long; large, almost touching, red eyes; red-brown thorax; translucent yellowish abdomen; slightly tinted but clear wings

Flew in to bungalow from back yard.

Thanks Stephen. It was fairly small and un-annoying so I took a closer look only to find those red eyes.
