Gaur (Indian Bison)

Description:

Gaur is the tallest species of wild cattle. It's native to Asia and Southeast Asia. It's been marked as vulnerable on the IUCN Red list since 1986. The gaur has a body length of 250 - 330cm with 70 - 105cm of tail. and 165 - 220cm tall at the shoulder. It weighs from 650 to 1 000kg. Males are much larger than females.

Habitat:

Thick grassy forests in warm to hot places.

Notes:

This bull Gaur was spotted at Gorumara National Park while on a family safari
