I am not sure if this is a Western Amazon Coral snake or not. Any Suggestions? Taken at 2 am with a flash. Sorry for bad pics, no flashlight and had to guess where he was in regards to the framing of shot.

Thanks for the info
Looks more like a true coral.
I agree with S Frazier. When I first saw this I thought Halloween snake (P. euryzonus). Looking into it further it appears that there are reports of this species in Peru from noted herpetologists. Although I'm not liking the shape of the head and the bands compared to some of these I've seen in Costa Rica.
Hello. Well that's a tri-colored snake isn't it? My search using that common name pulls up Micrurus sp. in 3-4 colors... I found this text reference (no pic) "...a western Amazon coral snake. We glimpsed it, menacingly banded in black, yellow and orange, as it slithered across the forest trail and disappeared into the undergrowth of Peru’s Manu National Park." http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/58e71276-5986-... What scientific name applies? The closest image I've come upon so far is for (some images of) Pliocercus euryzonus http://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/spe... but alas this apparently doesn't reside in the spotting locale...
