Western Meadowlark

Habitat:

Grassy park

I found two Western Meadowlarks on my way back from a cycling trip with my brother, These were the first I've seen in Arizona although I did find one Eastern Meadowlark in Willcox.

I didn't hear it vocalize. But I did see the side of the face and recognized the structure as being a Western.

What did it sound like? Could it be an eastern... Did it sound kind of like a girgle or an R2-D2 sound? Or was it a typical song?
