Puma concolor
Mountain Lions, are otherwise known as Puma, Catamount, Shadow Cat, Ghost Cat, Cougar, Panther, and Screamer. Extremely elusive, these cats prefer a solitary and extremely private lifestyle. Females weigh about 100lbs and males up to 200lbs. They are 9ft long and can take down prey 6 times heavier than themselves.

I got a Mountain Lion capture with my first trail camera setup with Felidae Conservation Fund as an Intern. It is a small female but I'm stoked!

Haha yeah seriously. Thanks Smith Zoo.
Wow! Well done! The shadow cat, how beautifully named...
Hahaha. That's sweet though I wish we had some groundhogs over here. Of course I wish I had a lot of animals over here :p Thank you Karen.
Awesome spot Joshua! All I see on our trail cam are deer, raccoons & groundhogs - plus lots of shots of my husband cutting the grass!
Wow. Fantastic. I can imagine how you feel! Just one thing though..."Habitat" is for the habitat of your spotting. That's what make the information more useful rather that the general range of habitats available on all kinds of websites. Here is what the Project Noah FAQs say "Please state the actual habitat where you photographed the spotting..." http://www.projectnoah.org/faq Again, general information is widely available, but information on your spotting is unique and can only be provided by you! Thank you.
