Spotting

Description:

We found this plant on a slope, next to a road that leads into the rainforest. It doesn't have any visible flowers or fruit. The leaf shape is ovate, its length at the longest point is about 8 inches, and its width at the widest point is 4 inches. The leaf margins are ciliate, and the leaf venation is netted pinnate. Its leaf arrangement is sub-opposite, and its leaf texture is smooth. The underside of the leaf is lighter that the side that faces upwards. The bark feels very rough.

Habitat:

We found this plant in a tropical rainforest in Singapore, next to a small path.
