Cup Moth Slug Caterpillar

Prolimacodes sp., Limacodidae, Lepidoptera

Description:

It is so exciting for me to be finding new and so incredibly diverse Limacodid caterpillars. This is one of the non-stinging variety of slug caterpillars, known in the US as Skiff Moth Caterpillars, although it is barely recognizable as a caterpillar.

It looks like a tree hopper or leaf hopper. This is so amazing. And spikes like an Arrowhead Spider.
