Skin-head Mushroom

Cortinarius subgenus Dermocybe

When wet, the caps had a very glossy appearance; when dry, they appeared almost papery. The margins of the caps were lighter. Brown gills, tan stipe.

Mossy ground under Sitka Spruce trees near some salmonberry plants.

Some sources list this as a subgenus though others consider them to be a genus of their own.
