Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle Larva

Description:

Harmonia axyridis, most commonly known as the harlequin, multicolored Asian, or Asian ladybeetle, is a large coccinellid beetle. This larva was about 15mm in large, black and orange in color.

Habitat:

Spotted at Central park New York. It is native to eastern Asia, but has been artificially introduced to North America and Europe to control aphids and scale insects.
