A small robust member of the Lagomorph family this little guy is highly territorial and calls out when it feels its territory is invaded. The pika is sensitive to high temperatures and wont survive 6 hours in temperatures over 80 degrees. It is being threatened by climate change. As temperatures rise the pika must move higher up the mountain.


Western US . It lives in alpine talus fields.
