Interesting. I wonder why the Scrub Jay is not a our state bird. It's the only bird endemic to the state. Perhaps because the Northern Mockingbird boldly sings out in the open we can say it is more impressive.

Sure is dc, we have a scrub area in Rockledge FL where the Scrub Jays will follow you and will land on you. Unfortunately I believe it is because others have fed them so they are looking for food. This one was trying to get the button from my cap!
