Grizzly bear

U. Arctos ssp.

Description:

Can vary in colour from blond to black.thought they are typically brown. They has small rounded ears and a dished in face. They have a large hump on their shoulder making it easier to tell a black bear from a grizzly. Most females weigh about 130 - 180. And most males weight about 180 - 360. An animal that share the environment is the black bear. One animal the grizzly has a riveraly with is the grey wolf. They have an interspieces competition. They both fight over the same prey. If one kills an animal the other will fight for it. They have long claws that help with catching their prey. They have thick coats to keep them warm in the winter. The grizzly bear uses sexual reproduction meaning it needs both genders.

Habitat:

The grizzly bear is found in many different habitats from dense forests to meadows to open plains to artic tundra. They are mostly found in western Canada. The grizzly usually eats fish, berries, seeds, deer, elk, fruit, grass and fungi, dead animals and insects. Nothing usually tries to eat a bear, but if they upset a wolf maybe the wolf will try to kill it. Or if the bear is dead the wolf will most likely eat it.
