Mountain Goat

Description:

The mountain goat is a mammal that can vary in its weight. They can weigh from 99-309 pounds. Their horns can be from 15-28 cm. The body length is from 120-179 cm and the tail can add an extra 10-20 cm. They share a environment with mountain lions, big horn sheep, brown and black bears, and antelope. They have a mutualistic relationship with the Mule Deer. The mountain goat is designed to live in the mountains because they have thick, long coat that keeps them warm and they have different hooves than most goats so that they can stand on jagged area's. They do sexual reproduction. The males dig holes and fight each other to mate with the females. The male who wins gets to mate with the female goat.

Habitat:

They live in mountainous area's in North America. They are herbivores that eat grass. They are eatan by wolves and cougars. They interact with the enviroment because when they leave there droppings, it helps the soil by giving it nutrients.
