Mayfly Nymph

Description:

The Mayfly is more found near rocks because they feed off of algae which is on the bottom of rocks. It is first a larvae that lives in the water then it becomes an actual fly. They also can be found in any other river. Mayfly’s when they grow up to come out all at once, and a town in Michigan used snow plows to pick them up. The Mayfly is a small black BMI ( benthic macro invertebrate) an organism with no backbone in the bottom of the river. They have three tails and six legs.
