Rufous-throated Honeyeater

Conopophila rufogularis

Description:

These little Honeyeaters are a light grey-brown on the head and down the back. The wings have yellow along the outer edge. The adults have the rufous-orange patch on their throat that gives them the name.

Habitat:

Sitting in this Frangipani Tree (Plumeria sp.) at the waste water treatment wetlands.

Cheers Vinny! I figured that while I live in the Kimberley, I am going to try and document as much of the fauna as possible...if I can tear my eyes off of the birds! :D
