Laetiporus sulphureus

Description:

Bracket-fungus (edible) with wavy edges. Shelves are pinkish brown with yellow-pink edges and yellow undersides.

Habitat:

Hardwood forests on tree trunks generally within 6ft of the ground. This specimen was along the Nachez-Trace Trail in Mississippi

Notes:

EDIBLE - hence the name "Chicken of the Woods"
