Vampire Moth

Description:

The Vampire moth's name refers to the habit that they have of drinking blood from vertebrates. Recent studies have shown that some of them are even capable of drinking human blood. However, it is believed that they are not thought to cause any threat to humans...yet.

Habitat:

Subtropical mountainous area, dense brush and trees.
