Wavy-Lined Emerald Moth

Synchlora aerata

Description:

A wavy-lined emerald moth. I can't find much on this species. I'm not even sure they belong in Kansas, I've only seen a few references that point that they do. I also found a small list of their host plants; Aster, Rudbeckia, Liatris, Solidago, Artemisia, Achillea and Rubus species. Something about the larvae stage of this moth is that they attach little bits of food to themselves. Which I think is pretty neat.

Habitat:

This moth is found in most of North America.

Thank you Hema :) Did I get the species right on this one? I was a little unsure when I posted this spotting.
