Buteo jamaicensis
The Red-Tailed Hawk, a large, widespread and common buteo, has man recognizably different plumeages, owing to a variety of color morphs and age and racial variation; however, major differences are among color morphs; racial variations among adult and juvenile plumages are relatively minor, with the exception of the Harlan's Hawk.
This lovely raptor hiding in the branches is a Intermediate (juvenile turning adult) Rufous Red-Tailed Hawk. Rufous, meaning the color of the plumage being a rusty red to rusty orange, is rarer among Red-Tails, and an intermediate, even rarer.

Thanks Gordon. i think it is thanks to the beautiful and scrambled branches that really helped set the picture's mood.
Raptors have such an intense look about them so much, and your photograph really captures this intensity. Nice....
