Black-and-yellow lichen moth

Lycomorpha pholus

Description:

A striking-looking moth with yellow to yellowish orange wings. The wingspan is 25–32 mm. The adults are thought to mimic poisonous Lycid beetles, such as Calopteron species.

Habitat:

Spotted on wildflowers in an overgrown powerline meadow. The mixed forest nearby.
