Amazonian Horned Frog

Ceratophrys cornuta

Description:

Large frogs with voracious appetites and very large mouths to match it. Colors are a mixture of near black, shades of brown and bright green.

Habitat:

Found along the edge of a swampy area in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador.

Notes:

These two are either male and female or juvenile and adult. They were being closemouthed about it.
