Megaphobema mesomelas
There are plenty of treasures hiding in the Project Noah archives that deserve recognition! Congratulations botilopez, your Tarántula de rodillas rojas is our Spotting of the Day:
"From our archives we share today this stunning Costa Rican Red Leg Tarantula (Megaphobema mesomelas, family Theraphosidae) as our Spotting of the Day! Also known as a Orange-Knee Tarantula, this gorgeous species is overall brown/black with orange/red coloring to the patella of the legs. It is found at higher elevations in the cloud forest".

I also photographed a orange kneed tarantula in Monteverde, could it be the same guy? I think mine is a male, going by some websites._DSC4610_Male Orange Kneed Tarantula in Burrow.JPG
Thank very much for the comments. Yes, this is a tarantula, I found in a Monteverde forest.
I just saw tarantula and black widow in National Geographic website.
If I meet one foot tarantula, I will faint....
