Spotted in Cades cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee.
Not even remotely similar to an egret, it is a wren like the ID suggestion that is given says.
It reminds me of an egret, despite that I haven't ever seen one. Reminds me more of one type of bird that is this size even as an adult.
