Carea angulata
I found it on a tree, we call it Daun Pucuk Merah tree (as its young leaves color red)
Awesome spotting!
What a huge head!
Metta, I can't say for certain of the species. Hopefully, someone more familiar with species in your area help more.
thanks for stopping by Carol Snow Milne :)And it will become a moth :)
WOW! A mushroom caterpillar. That is what it looks like. Awesome spot! So unusual. Never seen such a thing before.
Thank you so much ForestDragon :)Coul it be a Carea angulata?
Here is a similar caterpillar that was posted here on PN:http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/889...
I believe this is a caterpillar from Tribe Careini, possible Genus Carea (though I am not totally certain on the genus). It's a type f Nolid moth. While I couldn't find a ton of information, I was able to find these:http://myitchyfingers.wordpress.com/2009...http://www.flickr.com/photos/darren5907/...http://www.flickr.com/photos/hkmoths/205...http://www.flickr.com/photos/28859910@N0...
