Palm warbler

Setophaga palmarum

Description:

Small active bird with yellow breast markings and a yellow patch under the rump. The underside of the tail feathers is white. Perhaps a palm warbler?

Wakodahatchee Wetlands

Dendroica is the old Genus, many things that used to be in it are now in Setophaga. Yellow-rumped Warbler is among these as well. Wikipedia is usually slow about changing names whereas Cornell is usually a bit more up to date :)

Thanks for the help identifying this bird, AshleyT. I'm a little confused about one thing - how come Wikipedia calls this bird "Dendroica palmarum" as does a website for the wetland park where I saw it, but the Cornell Lab calls it "Setophaga palmarum"?
