Hi Mari, Brilliant shot! They are really difficult to photograph.

Macroglossum stelleratum is a European species (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macroglossu...) as the distribution map shows in the article. I'm of the opinion that this is in fact the African hummingbird moth (Macroglossum trochilus)
