Common Five Ring

Ypthima baldus newboldi

Description:

This is apparently the rarest of the three ringed butterflies, according to my field guide. Apologies for the blurry pictures: blame my iTouch's camera. It has these rings to make it look bigger and therefore more intimidating to predators.

Habitat:

Forest
