Spotting

Description:

Small silver fish looking thing. First spotted with bits of twigs and leaves attached to its back like some kind of display/armour. The armour/display made it look bigger but it was revealed to be much smaller, photo of it with and without the armour/display are also provided.

Habitat:

The Australian Bush (it was in a shrub, Sydney)

A lacewing larva I think. It is too hard to see for me to make a more specific suggestion.
