Description:

It is a medium sized butterfly that has bright yellow wings with black and orange markings.This specimen had black patterning like a spider web and the back of the hindwings have a silver spot that is typical for this species.

Habitat:

Semi-urban habitat, Fort Worth, Texas

Notes:

The butterfly is common in most of North America.The caterpillars of this butterfly are also green and yellow and sort of resemble the butterflies colors.
