Spotted Orb-weaver Spider

Neoscona sp.

Description:

Araneidae; Neoscona sp. This very tiny spider looks like Neoscona crucifera, but it is so small, an obvious juvenile, that I cannot be sure. If it hangs around for a while and grows bigger, I might have a better chance of identifying it properly. I think it might be safe to say that it is a male because of the large pedipalps.

Habitat:

Spotted on a pot plant in our backyard.
