Description:

These large millipedes can reach lengths of 100 mm. This is there defensive reaction when threatened, they sometimes curl up or release a noxious liquid that contains large amounts of benzoquinones which can cause dermatological burns.

Habitat:

Spotted on a trail at Chinquapin mountain.
