A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
this is a very basic plant that i wanted to know the name for and find out what it is. the leaves are really big. to be exact they are 3.5-4 inches wide. and they are 4.3-6 inches long. these leaves look very simular to a mango tree leaf but this is not a mango tree. the leaf formation is very spread out and they grow far away from each other. Each of the leaves has a drip tip, which for those of you that dont know what that is then it is what it sounds like, it is used to help get water off of a leaf. the type of leaf veins are like a typical leaf. im sorry that it was not more descriptive, but i did not have my field book at the time so i wasn't able to remember all that it looked like and what some of the leaf veins are called.
it grows everywhere, from under a tree to the middle of soil covered pathway.
