Sand Crab or Pacific Mole Crab. See that little bit of orange color on the left upper side, those are eggs. This must be a female. They tunnel just under the sand in the tidal area for food and that is also where they lay their eggs.

This neat critter is a type of crab. They are also called Sand Crabs. Crabs go in the Arthropods section. :-)
