Crotalus pyrrhus
A southwestern speckled rattlesnake at Sedgwick. These guys are interesting, they reach lengths of about three feet and their color varies to their environment. They prefer rocky habitats and are nocturnal. The venom of this species causing swelling and pain but does not seem to be fatal in any cases.
Native to the Southwestern US and Mexico.
